Radio 702

New sound studios for a talk radio station
The project entailed new acoustic studios for broadcasting purposes for a leading talk radio station in Africa

The studios are currently state of the art in broadcast radio. The design was inspired by the 702 corporate identity. The technical specifications of the studios push the boundaries regarding the amount of ttansparent surfaces (acoustic reflection), scale of spaces and the transformability (regarding different broadcasting situations). The walls are a composite of multiple layers to ensure maximum acoustic performance and to create a soundproof environment. The services in the voyer are exposed and form part of the semi-industrial aesthetic.
